VAT (Value Added Tax) is a kind of business taxes levied on goods and services by EC countries and some non-EU countries, which is automatically added to the prices of dutiable goods and services. The levied tax rate varies from country to country; generally speaking between 5% to 25%, and tax rate is indicated in the invoice. The name of VAT also varies from country to country, such as: Britain-VAT, Finland-GST, Germany-MWST, France-TVA and Denmark-MOMS.
